Working Condition

1. Altitude

The standard design of the S13 oil immersed distribution transformer is applicable to areas with an altitude of no more than 1000 meters. When the altitude of the installation location exceeds this limit, due to the thin air, the heat dissipation efficiency will decrease and the external insulation strength will be reduced.

In this case, the capacity must be reduced according to national standards for use, and the insulation distance may need to be corrected. Generally speaking, for every 100 meters increase in altitude, the recommended continuous load capacity of the transformer is suggested to be reduced by approximately 0.3-0.5%.


2. Ambient Temperature

The normal operating ambient temperature conditions for the S13 oil immersed distribution transformer are as follows:

Maximum temperature: +40℃. This temperature is the temperature in a shaded and well-ventilated environment, not the surface temperature of the equipment under direct sunlight.

Average maximum monthly temperature: not higher than +30℃.

Maximum annual average temperature: not higher than +20℃.

Outdoor minimum temperature: not lower than -25℃. In the lowest temperature environment, it is necessary to ensure that the insulating oil used for the S13 oil immersed distribution transformer has corresponding low-temperature performance (such as a freezing point lower than the ambient temperature) to ensure the normal startup and circulation.
