To ensure that the ZSG three-phase dry-type transformers operate safely, stably and efficiently within their designed lifespan, the installation and operation environment of these transformers must strictly meet a series of clear boundary conditions.

In terms of climatic conditions, the upper limit of the air temperature around should not exceed +40℃, the average temperature within 24 hours should be controlled below +30℃, and the minimum temperature should not be lower than -5℃.


At the same time, the relative humidity of the atmosphere should be ≤50% at +40℃, the maximum monthly average relative humidity in the wettest month should be allowed to reach 90%, but it must be ensured that the monthly average minimum temperature is +25℃ to prevent harmful condensation on the surface.


In terms of geographical conditions, the installation location of the ZSG three-phase core-type transformers usually should not exceed an altitude of 2000 meters. If it exceeds this limit, the capacity and insulation must be appropriately reduced and strengthened.


The allowable steady-state deviation range of the input power supply voltage is ±5% of the rated value to avoid the risk of core over-excitation. 

Moreover, the transformers must be placed in a position without severe vibration and shock, with a solid foundation and good ventilation, and away from corrosive, conductive dust or flammable and explosive gases. 

These conditions together form the basic environmental framework for the reliable operation. Any deviation from these conditions may accelerate insulation aging, increase losses or cause faults. Therefore, before selection and location, it must be fully evaluated and confirmed.

Magnetic circuit system: the foundation for energy transmission, using high-quality, high-magnetic-permeability cold-rolled oriented silicon steel sheets that are stacked in a stepped manner to form a three-phase three-column core. This ensures efficient and low-loss operation.

Circuit system: the main body for energy conversion. The high-voltage and low-voltage windings are usually wound with T2 oxygen-free copper foil or flat copper wire and undergo a vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) process, where they are impregnated and cured with high-temperature-resistant resin to form a solid, moisture-proof, and heat-conductive integrated structure.

Insulation and heat dissipation system: the guarantee for reliable operation. The interlayer and inter-turn insulation composed of high-temperature-resistant DMD, Nomex, etc., together with the cooling airways and forced air cooling devices inside the windings, work together to ensure that the temperature rise is controlled.

Final mechanical protection and wiring system: provides protection through a plastic-coated steel plate enclosure and realizes reliable electrical connections through copper terminals or busbars with high current-carrying capacity.
