The SBK auto-transformer is a compact voltage conversion solution specifically designed for industrial scenarios with limited space and strict requirements for efficiency. It eliminates the need for isolated windings and achieves a 30% reduction in volume and a 25% weight reduction at the same capacity through a shared coil structure, achieving high power density.

Core Technology

The core technology of the SBK auto-transformer lies in the use of 0.35mm thick 120 model cold-rolled oriented silicon steel sheets and high-temperature resistant enameled flat copper wires, combined with a layered winding process, ensuring an operating efficiency higher than 98% even at 75% load rate, and effectively suppressing harmonic heating.

The voltage regulation system uses nickel silver alloy carbon brushes and phosphor bronze alloy rails, with stable contact, supporting over 100,000 adjustments.

It is typically used in flexible startup of motors below 55kW, voltage adaptation of production lines (such as compensating the voltage difference from 380V to 400V), and wide-range voltage output of equipment test platforms.

When selecting the SBK auto-transformer, the capacity must meet the formula: ≥ 1.2 × [Equipment rated power (kW) ÷ (0.8 × Power factor)] + Maximum single-unit startup surge capacity.

A: The applicable scenarios for SBK auto-transformers (without isolation required for voltage regulation/transforming):

✔ Motor soft start and speed control: It can limit the motor starting current and perform small-scale speed adjustment.

✔ Stable voltage/compensating voltage drop: When the grid voltage is low, this transformer can raise the voltage to the equipment's rated value (e.g., 380V to 400V).

Windings: use H-class (180℃) enameled flat copper wire, with high heat resistance and strong overload capacity.

Voltage regulation mechanism: a combination of nickel-silver alloy carbon brushes and phosphor bronze alloy rails, ensuring good conductivity, wear resistance, and low contact resistance, with long adjustment lifespan.

Insulation treatment: processed by vacuum impregnation (VPI) technology, which is moisture-proof, shock-resistant, and has good heat dissipation.

 

Q: Can the SBK auto-transformer be used as an automatic voltage stabilizer?

A: No. The standard SBK auto-transformer is manually adjusted or adjusted to preset points through servo motor drive. It does not have the voltage stabilization function of real-time monitoring the output voltage and automatically adjusting it.
