The DDG heating transformer is one of the new products produced by our Zhejiang Yibaling Power Equipment Co., Ltd. It is a special dry-type, low-voltage, high-current transformer specially designed for industrial resistance heating, induction heating assistance, and metal melting in high-power scenarios.

It is mainly used as the power source for current transformers, circuit breakers, contactors, thermal relays, switches, etc., for temperature rise tests, protection characteristic tests, continuous load tests, and measurement tests of electrical parameters.


The DDG heating transformer adopts extremely reinforced electromagnetic and structural design:

The core is made of ultra-high magnetic permeability silicon steel sheets to withstand high magnetic flux density;

The low-voltage winding usually uses solid copper bars, thick copper plates, or multiple giant copper tubes connected in parallel for winding, ensuring extremely low impedance and huge current-carrying capacity, and directly dissipating heat through water-cooled pipes or forced air cooling;

The insulation system uses materials with the highest heat resistance (such as H class or C class) and is processed by special techniques to withstand the high-temperature radiation environment around the heating equipment.

Core design Ultra-high flux density operation: Utilizing extremely high-grade (such as 27ZH100) or even better oriented silicon steel sheets, the design allows for operation at high magnetic flux densities close to saturation, minimizing core volume and cost.Low leakage flux and low short-circuit impedance design: The windings are arranged in a concentric manner, significantly reducing leakage flux and keeping the short-circuit impedance (Uk%) at an extremely low level (typically <5%, and even as low as 1-2%). Maximize power density, transmitting extremely high power within a limited volume; the output voltage is stable, with a small voltage drop when the load fluctuates.
High-current winding Conductor form: On the low-voltage side (the high-current side), traditional wire winding is not used. Instead, solid copper bars, thick copper plates are welded together, or multiple large-section copper tubes are connected in parallel to form. The copper tubes also serve as water cooling channels. Current density and thermal management: The allowable current density is much higher than that of conventional transformers. Heat is dissipated by an external forced cooling system. The current-carrying capacity reaches the level of tens of thousands of amperes; the conduction loss is minimized; the structure and cooling system are integrated.
Insulation system High-temperature resistant insulation: Must use insulation materials with a temperature resistance level of C grade (220℃) or H grade (180℃) or higher (such as mica, glass fiber, special composite paper).Reinforcement treatment: The windings undergo multiple vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI) processes, using high-temperature resistant organic silicon or epoxy resin to form a whole. Resist the high-temperature radiation environment generated by heating equipment and prevent insulation from aging and breakdown due to heat.

Environmental Conditions

The DDG heating transformer is suitable for indoor or well-protected outdoor industrial areas with an altitude of no more than 1000 meters.

The maximum ambient air temperature should not exceed +40℃, the 24-hour average temperature should not exceed +30℃, the annual average temperature should not exceed +20℃, the minimum temperature should be no lower than -5℃, and drastic temperature changes should be avoided.

The installation location should be clean and dry. There should be no excessive conductive dust, corrosive chemical gases (such as chlorine, sulfides), salt fog, oil fog or flammable and explosive dust in the air.

At the same time, the area near the operation of the DDG heating transformer should be free of condensation, ice formation, direct dripping water or high-pressure water jets, and severe vibration and impact should be avoided.

The operation of the forced cooling system (air cooling) for the transformer is an absolute prerequisite for the operation. The installation environment must be able to provide a stable and compliant power supply for the cooling system.

Note:

If the actual environment where the DDG heating transformer is located has continuous vibration, intermittent water exposure, medium to high corrosion risks (such as in coastal areas or chemical plants), or an altitude higher than 1000 meters, it must be clearly stated when ordering from our Yibaling factory.

The engineers at our Yibaling factory will conduct specialized design and verification for the structural fasteners, protective coatings (such as heavy-duty anti-corrosion paint), insulation material grades, and cooling system capacity of the DDG heating transformer.
