Some electricity usage scenarios are not in factories or workshops, but in —A house far from the municipal power grid.
The customer’s requirement is straightforward: they own a standalone property and need a transformer installed outdoors to operate around the clock and supply power to the entire house.
Sounds simple? But when broken down in detail, several overlapping conditions make it impossible to solve with just "any off-the-shelf unit":
Outdoor installation: Must be rainproof, dustproof, and sun-resistant, requiring a high enclosure protection rating.
24/7 operation: The transformer must run continuously without overheating, tripping, or frequent breakdowns.
Whole-house power supply: Lighting, air conditioners, kitchen appliances, water pumps, heating equipment, etc. — diverse load types with large starting currents.
Three-phase power input: High-power devices (central air conditioners, electric heaters, lift pumps) require three-phase power, which ordinary single-phase power cannot support.
The customer shopped around, but standard products either lacked sufficient protection ratings, had mismatched capacities, or manufacturers were unwilling to take on such "non-standard small orders".
We didn’t just grab a ready-made unit off the shelf — we customized a solution from scratch based on the customer’s on-site conditions.
1. Outdoor enclosure – built to take a beating
Protection rating: IP54 – keeps dust out and rain off.
Material: Highquality steel with outdoor powder coating. UVresistant, corrosionresistant. Won't rust away in a few years.
Design details: Rainproof top cap. The base sits higher than the mounting surface. Junction box is sealed. Heavy rain? No problem. Water stays out.
2. Capacity and voltage – calculated right, with room to spare
Onsite setup: Threephase, fourwire power input.
Capacity: We added up every single load in the house, then left plenty of margin. For things that pull a big starting current – air conditioner compressors, water pumps – we checked them one by one. No nuisance tripping.
Voltage: Input and output are fully customized to what the customer actually has on site. No "offtheshelf" compromise.
3. 24/7 Operation Design: No Overheating
Pure copper windings + high-permeability silicon steel sheets, low energy loss and minimal heat generation
Enlarged temperature rise margin design, adapting to high summer temperatures and continuous loads
Natural cooling (AN): No fans or vulnerable parts, quiet and reliable
4. Adapted for Whole-House Loads
Three-phase output for high-power devices (air conditioners, electric heaters, water pumps)
Single-phase 220V output available as needed for lighting, sockets, and small appliances
Reserved capacity margin on the transformer to avoid voltage drops when multiple devices start simultaneously
What the Customer Received
A transformer truly designed for the outdoor whole-house power supply scenario — not an indoor unit cobbled together for outdoor use.
Resistant to rain, sun, and dust accumulation
Stable temperature rise during 24/7 continuous operation
No tripping under load fluctuations, stable voltage output
One-time installation and commissioning, with easy-to-understand wiring diagrams for the customer
Key Considerations for Choosing a Whole-House Power Supply Transformer
If you have similar needs — standalone residences, farms, homestays, construction sites far from the municipal grid, or temporary locations — the following factors are unavoidable in the selection process:
Consideration
Why It Matters
Capacity (kVA)
Sum the power ratings of all electrical devices and multiply by a margin of 1.5 times or more. Avoid tight calculations, especially for motor-driven equipment.
Input/Output Voltage
Confirm the on-site incoming voltage and the voltage required by loads; customization is needed if they do not match.
Outdoor Protection Rating
IP54 as a minimum; choose a higher rating or add anti-corrosion coating for coastal or high-humidity areas.
24/7 Operation Capability
Check the transformer’s temperature rise design and insulation class; Class H (180°C) is more durable than Class F.
Single/Three-Phase Output
If both single-phase and three-phase loads are required, load distribution must be considered in the transformer design.
Installation Foundation
Outdoor installation requires a concrete foundation or dedicated support; elevate the transformer base to prevent waterlogging.
We do not offer "all-inclusive products", but we excel at providing customized solutions for specific scenarios.
Indoor, outdoor, rainproof, corrosion-resistant... Choose the enclosure based on the on-site environment.
Capacity, voltage, taps, protection level... Set the parameters according to the load requirements.
One unit minimum order, not worried about the small order size.
Provide selection suggestions, installation drawings, wiring instructions, and remote guidance for debugging.
